Our Worship Services
We take the Word of God as our authority, to guide us in the structure of our worship services.
So what can you expect when you join us for worship?
We have lots of parking available, and you are welcome to drop off your loved ones at the doors before parking.
Our Ushers will warmly welcome you, and gladly help you find a place to sit, and every pew has Bible’s and Song Book’s so if you forget yours we have you covered! Our junior ushers will also welcome you and be happy to provide you with a liturgy sheet which contains the structure of the service, which songs we are singing, what passages of scripture we are reading, and some general announcements.
The order of our services is based on biblical practice and principle. The opening blessing and greeting are taken from the Word. The songs that we sing are based on scripture and are usually accompanied by one of our talented organists or pianists.
The prayers contain praise to God, confession of sin, pleas for pardon and blessing, as well as requests for help, healing, and guidance.
The heart of our service centers around the reading and proclamation of God’s Word. Our afternoon service typically follows one of our confessions, The Heidelberg Catechism, as a guide for which scripture reading will be the sermon theme.
Unlike some other churches’s the offering we hold during the service is not to support our churches operating expenses, but for the work of our deacons, to support those in our congregation in need, or for another cause that the deacons find worthy and important for building up of Christ’s kingdom. The custom is a dollar or two from each person if you can. Our services conclude with a closing benediction which is also taken from the Word of God.
If you can’t join us in person for worship, you are more than encouraged to contact us for information on how to watch our LiveStream.
